Lee Founders Weekend Duck Race Results For 2007 Nets $2500.00 for Robert Flint of Stockbridge, Massachusetts

Berkshire County’s Tri-Town Rotary Club held their annual Lee Founders’ Weekend Duck Race on September 30th, 2007.  It was a 2 p.m. post time on a picture perfect sunny Sunday afternoon and about 2:25 p.m. when the first racers made their final dash down the Goose Pond Brook to the finish line at the Tyringham Road bridge.

A large crowd was gathered to watch the winning duck, Number 2510, pull out in front of 3,000 competing racers.  Robert Flint, the proud owner of the duck was a very surprised .

Had Robert's duck been one of ten ducks pre-selected before the race by an insurance company, he would have taken home the $45,000 grand prize.  For his duck's efforts, Robert Flint of Stockbridge is the winner of the $2,500 First Place prize.

The funds raised from this event allow the Tri-Town Rotary Club to support the local and international community through scholarships, fuel assistance, and humanitarian projects.  Thank you to Roger Levine and everyone who helped support the event and the Tri-Town Rotary Club.
