Judy Turtz Introduced Linda Cross, a health coach for Take Shape for Life. Linda began with telling her own story of having lost 100lbs and how she works at staying healthy. For her optimal health is defined as the best health you can reach for and so this definition must be individualized. She discussed the obesity epidemic, noting that this will be the first generation where their children will not outlive their parents. More than 50% of the US population is overweight and obese. We must change and changing your mindset not your diet can do this. It is a life style change to BESLIM awareness; (B)reakfast, (E)xercise, (S)upport, (L)ow fat meals, (I)ndividualized plans, and (M)onitoring the result. She mentioned how she monitors daily so that she can incrementallly work off weight that she may gain so that it is not a huge effort. She handed out guidelines for helping us understand whether we are overweight or obese or morbidly obese. For more information visit her website, www.Time2loseit.tsfl.com .
